Jonathan Carver’s primary practice area is in commercial litigation, but also focuses on other practices including business litigation and contracts. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Carver’s experience included first party property litigation, appellate, attorney malpractice, personal injury, and general liability. His experience also includes contract cases, breach of fiduciary duty, non-compete matters, and class actions.
Mr. Carver prides himself as a creative problem solver. He uses his unique background of working in sports to bring a competitive edge to both litigation and negotiation. Mr. Carver previously worked for numerous organizations in the National Basketball Association in a basketball operations and analytics capacity. In 2015, Mr. Carver wrote and published his first book, Ranketology, which is based on an algorithm he created to determine the greatest player in NBA history. The book peaked as the ninth-best selling basketball book on Amazon. He has been featured in national publications such as Sports Illustrated and SLAM for his authorship and work in professional sports. He also has experience providing both sports and legal analysis both nationally and locally on television and radio.
He graduated from the University of Miami School of Law in 2019 with his juris doctor and in 2020 with his LL.M. in Entertainment, Arts & Sports. He graduated from the University of Arkansas Sam M. Walton College of Business in 2017, where he worked for the Arkansas Razorbacks Mens’ Basketball Team.
