The Family Law Group at Shapiro, Blasi, Wasserman & Hermann offers a skilled and compassionate team of lawyers with a broad combination of marital and family law expertise. Our clients benefit from the depth of legal experience brought to the table by each member of the team including complex trial experience, deep financial analysis and the hard-won wisdom of understanding the real-world impact of this area of law. Collectively, we utilize out-of-the-box thinking to drive positive results for our clients in what are already difficult situations.
The team is led by Jennifer Shafer, Esq., an experienced trial attorney with vast experience litigating complex cases in a variety of fields. In 2020, Palm Beach Illustrated magazine named Ms. Shafer among the “Top Lawyers” in Family Law, as voted on by her peers. She is joined by Angelo Gasparri, Esq., who enhances his legal experience with a background in complex financial matters. The team includes two “of Counsel” lawyers, Jeffrey Wasserman, Esq., who has been a part of the firm’s Family Law Group for more than 17 years and is an Accredited Collaborative Professional of the Florida Academy of Collaborative Professionals (FACP), and Audrey Schneiderman, Esq., who has more than 30 years of experience in family law litigation and alternative dispute resolution.
Our experienced team offers clients a full range of services to assist with their family law needs, including:
Divorce: From the filing of the initial petition of dissolution through the final judgment, our team will work with you in a manner that ensures your rights are protected, and you understand what is happening in your case.
Enforcement and/or Modification Proceedings: The team has significant experience ensuring that all parties live up to the conditions of the final judgment and if situations have changed, the ability to procure the necessary modification.
Pre-Nuptial Agreements: The team is available to draft and negotiate Pre-Nuptial Agreements to make certain the parties understand both their rights and/or obligations as they enter a marriage.
Post-Nuptial Agreements: Things change, and sometimes it is necessary to define each party’s right and obligations because of the new situation. Also, a post-nuptial agreement can resolve differences between spouses without a litigation in the event of death, such as agreements to assign or protect assets, inheritances, support, and more.
Mediated Settlement: In most cases, differences can be negotiated and mediated diminishing the need for expense of litigation.
Collaborative Law Process: What if all the parties had transparency, advocacy and fairness without relying upon a judge’s intervention? The Collaborative Law process, embedded within the Florida Statutes, provides for just that type of solution and can be an excellent alternative for many parties seeking a dissolution.
Interstate and International Child Custody: Our team has extensive experience within the complex world of interstate and international child custody situations.
Whether through litigation, mediation or the collaborative law process, we offer robust, competitive and pragmatic advocacy to people facing what can be one of the most challenging times of their life.
