Firm shareholder Adam Chotiner recently moderated a judicial seminar entitled The Florida Summary Judgment Standard Going Forward. This seminar focused on Florida’s recent adoption of the federal summary judgment standard and was exclusively for state court judges throughout Florida. Mr. Chotiner was instrumental in spearheading and organizing the event, and he was the only non-judge speaker. Approximately 300 state court judges attended, and the other speakers were U.S. District Judge Rodney Smith, U.S. District Judge Raaj Singhal, Judge Stephanie Ray of the 1st District Court of Appeal and Judge Thomas Logue of the 3rd District Court of Appeal.
