Andrew B. Blasi, a founding shareholder of the firm, has more than four decades of legal experience working in South Florida. He focuses his practice on transactional commercial and residential real estate, real estate development and finance, as well as business transactions and contracts, mortgage and asset-based lending, real estate and business workouts and dispute resolution.
Adam S. Chotiner, shareholder, oversees the firm’s Labor and Employment Law practice. He is Board Certified by The Florida Bar as an expert specialist in labor and employment law, and he focuses his practice on representing businesses in all aspects of labor and employment law. He represents employers in litigation, arbitration and administrative matters, and he also counsels his clients on preventative policies and procedures including employee handbooks, employment agreements and wage-and-hour compliance. Mr. Chotiner also serves as an arbitrator.
Andrew M. Dector, a founding shareholder of the firm, has represented clients in commercial litigation in both state and federal courts and in arbitration and mediation for 40 years. His litigation experience includes a broad range of business and commercial litigation issues, including breach of contract, construction, commercial landlord and tenant, real estate and business disputes. He is also engaged in trust and probate litigation.
Jennifer S. Shafer, partner, chairs the firm’s Family Law Group. A highly experienced trial attorney, Ms. Shafer has dedicated her practice to litigating complex cases throughout a variety of fields. She represents individuals in matrimonial and family law litigation including divorce litigation, paternity matters, enforcement, and modification proceedings as well as pre/post-nuptial agreements. She also has extensive experience handling high risk litigation claims involving commercial matters including personal injury and products liability, as well as construction defect and delay claims.
Jeffrey P. Wasserman, of counsel, is an Accredited Collaborative Family Law attorney who is a peacemaker and practices in keeping his divorce clients out of court. He has practiced for five decades focusing on family law matters and has served as Chair of the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar. He has successfully converted his practice from family law litigation to helping families resolve their differences without the threat of litigation. He also represents clients in Life Planning Agreements, including pre-nuptial, post-nuptial and cohabitation agreements.
