He focuses his practice on transactional commercial and residential real estate, real estate development and finance, as well as business transactions and contracts, mortgage and asset-based lending, real estate and business workouts and dispute resolution.
Michael B. Shapiro, a managing partner of the firm, was honored for his work in Real Estate Law. Shapiro heads the commercial real estate practice area, including, without limitation, the sale and purchase of shopping centers, office buildings, warehouses, hotels/motels and other commercial properties, commercial leasing, commercial lending/re-financing and asset purchase and sales. He also founded and co-operates the firm’s wholly owned title insurance company, Preferred Title, Inc.
Jeffrey P. Wasserman, an Of Counsel to the firm, was honored for his work in Collaborative Law and Family Law. Wasserman has been practicing law for 50 years and is proud to be an Accredited Collaborative Professional with the Florida Academy of Collaborative Professionals (FACP). As a leader in this area of law, he sits on the FACP Board of Directors and co-chairs the Governance Committee. He is also part of three local Collaborative Law groups and serves on several committees of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals (IACP).
